Can vinyl flooring be used outside?

Theoretically, yes – if it’s luxury vinyl flooring. Traditional and sheet vinyl will lose their style over time, but luxury vinyl floors can generally be used outside. There are exceptions in certain environments, such as deserts or areas that get heavy snowfall.

Is porcelain tile too heavy for 2nd floor installations?

Generally, no. Upper levels are designed to carry significant loads. However, there are some important considerations before installing porcelain tile floors on a second floor. A home inspector should be consulted to test structural integrity, the condition of the subfloor, and the dimensions and weight of the tile.

Can engineered hardwood be used in the kitchen?
